Dishrags
Materials
1 ball Sugar’n Cream cotton yarn (this can make several, depending on the size)
Size 8 needles
Method
Cast on 2 stitches. Turn
Row 1: Make 1 (M1) by knitting into the front and back of the first stitch, Knit 1 (K1).
Row 2: M1, K2.
Row 3: M1, K3.
Continue in this fashion (M1 in the first stitch and knitting until the end of the row) until one of the sides is the desired length. Then begin decreasing.
Decrease Row 1: K to next to last stitch, knit 2 together (K2tog).
Row 2: K to next to last stitch, K2tog.
Continue until there are 5 stitches left. Bind off.
Note: Use a soft yarn, such as pima cotton, and a dishrag can become a very soft washcloth.
